Silly celebrations for January 2011

Again in English?
Well, why not?

I must say that I got caught for your remarks in English in my last post January the second (Kum, Bea, Berna, Rosana, Lara, Isa...). You know, when I lost my abilities in writing Spanish, I felt a bit puzzled. I was afraid, too. But now I can face my new life being a foreigner with more confidence. It´s very nice to have polyglot friends, just in case.

Reading letters from friends abroad, I´ve known about some fool holidays around de world, but I suspect most are from USA.

Here is the little list of silly and bizarre celebrations for January 2011.
I admit some of these celebrations can't be checked. I don´t know who made them up, but here we are:

Month of January

• National Soup Month
• Apple, Apricots, Artichoke and Asparagus Month (all begining with A?)
• National Clean Up Your Computer Month

Silly celebrations Days in January

2 Happy Mew Year for Cats Day

(By the way, before I forget it, I must thank Jackie Balwin, from Story Lovers World, for the links).

How funny! I celebrated the "I'm Not Going To Take It Anymore" day on January 2nd. At least I was in the right month!
Happy new year to you. It's great to practice English, isn't it?

Ruth:
You are so right, practising English must be great, and funny. And I think that if it is funny, it will be the best way for a suitable learning. I think it too works in that way at school. I wish you the best year for you.

Edurne:
Congratulations. You can do it. I can help you. Just try on. Read and write, that's all. ¡HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Rosana:
We must take the sense of ridiculous out of here. All little children speak with mistakes, and nobody cares. They are learning. As we are, all of our life.
We make mistakes? Never mind, it doesn't matter. Don't be scared for those who have Inferiority complex. The big mistake is not to try it, and feeling embarrassment. All the languages are our languages, and we can break the frontiers of incomunication. Keep on trying. It´s funny.

Sth has invaded us, I feel it. A virus has changed our speech. what happens? This would be a new celebration, I know: Metamorphosis Day or I can´t speak Spanish Day.
